Why You’ll Love This Recipe
This recipe is perfect for the nights when you want something easy but still crave real flavor. The chicken gets seasoned with Canal Side No. 1 for that cozy garlic-herb taste, then layered onto crisp flatbread with Caesar dressing and cheese.
It has the comfort of pizza, the freshness of a Caesar salad, and the ease of a weeknight meal you can pull together fast.
Ingredients
2 large naan flatbreads or pizza flatbreads
1 1/2 cups cooked chicken, chopped or shredded
1 tablespoon olive oil or melted butter
1 1/2 teaspoons Canal Side No. 1 Garlic & Herb Blend
1/3 cup Caesar dressing, plus more for drizzling
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
2 cups chopped romaine lettuce
1/2 cup crushed croutons
Optional: lemon juice, black pepper, extra parmesan
Directions
Preheat your oven to 400°F. Place the flatbreads on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
In a small bowl, toss the cooked chicken with olive oil or melted butter and Canal Side No. 1 until the chicken is evenly coated.
Spread a thin layer of Caesar dressing over each flatbread. Add the seasoned chicken, mozzarella cheese, and parmesan.
Bake for 10 to 13 minutes, or until the edges are crisp and the cheese is melted and lightly golden.
While the flatbreads bake, toss the romaine with a small drizzle of Caesar dressing. Once the flatbreads come out of the oven, top with the dressed romaine, crushed croutons, extra parmesan, and a little black pepper if desired.
Slice and serve warm.
Salt Spring Tip
For extra flavor, brush the edges of the flatbread with melted butter and a small pinch of Canal Side No. 1 before baking. It gives the crust a garlic-herb finish that makes the whole recipe taste more homemade.
Make It A Meal
Serve these flatbreads with roasted potatoes, fresh fruit, pasta salad, or a simple bowl of tomato soup. For picky eaters, leave the lettuce off one flatbread and serve it more like a garlic-herb chicken pizza.
Easy Swaps
Use rotisserie chicken to make this even faster. Swap naan for tortillas, pita bread, French bread, or mini pizza crusts. You can also use ranch instead of Caesar if that is what your family likes best.
For a lighter version, use less cheese and add more romaine after baking. For a heartier version, add bacon, tomatoes, or extra chicken.
Storage And Reheating
These flatbreads are best served fresh, especially after the lettuce is added. If you want leftovers, store the baked chicken flatbread without lettuce in the fridge for up to 2 days.
Reheat in the oven or air fryer until crisp, then add fresh lettuce and dressing before serving.
Make it with Canal Side No. 1 Garlic & Herb Blend.
